COMP30023 - Computer Systems
Systems programming in C: a simulator for process scheduling and memory management, and an email client that talks to an IMAP server.

This subject was about how operating systems and networks work under the hood, with two C projects I wrote with Lewis Zhang.
The first project simulates an operating system's process scheduling and memory management: a round-robin scheduler with a configurable time quantum, with infinite memory, first-fit allocation, paging, and virtual memory with page eviction.
The second project is a simple email client that logs in to a standards-compliant IMAP server, retrieves messages, parses their headers, extracts MIME parts and lists the emails in a folder.
